Soldier Goes To Order Taco Bell Meal, Stops Cold When He Hears 2 Boys Behind Him

Two young boys, aged 9 and 13, in Fort Benning, Georgia, wanted to assist in raising money for their church so that it could assist people in need. So, while doing a bake sale, the boys went to a Taco Bell nearby and asked if anyone would like to purchase their goods. But Army Lieutenant Colonel Robert Risdon was drawn to something about those lads.

They both appeared to be terribly cold and drenched in the region’s rain. So he inquired as to whether they had eaten yet. When they said no, he ordered them to follow him to the counter where he purchased some food for them.Someone else at the restaurant caught the moment on video and posted it online, saying “I had to video it and share. Our troops are always taking care of us.”

I had to capture it and share it, said the person who recorded the moment in the restaurant and put it online. Our military always looks out for us.

After receiving their meals, the young child, who was only nine years old, turned to the lieutenant colonel and said and did something that made everyone’s hearts melt.

I want to be just like you when I grow up, he said.He then gave the soldier a bow. Lt. Col. Risden probably did not anticipate that. He won’t forget it, I’m certain of that.
