Upon hearing of OJ Simpson’s passing, Caitlyn Jenner, the former Olympian and ex-spouse of Kris Jenner, the former wife of Simpson’s attorney, Robert Kardashian, took to Twitter to express her thoughts. She tweeted just two words, followed by “#OJSimpson.”
The 74-year-old media personality didn’t hold back in her post about Simpson, simply stating, “Good Riddance.”
Fred Goldman, father of Ron Goldman who was tragically murdered along with Nicole Brown Simpson, shared his thoughts as well.
“The only thing I have to say is it’s just a further reminder of Ron being gone all these years,” Fred told NBC News. “It’s no great loss to the world. It’s just another reminder of Ron’s absence.”
In June 1994, OJ Simpson was accused of murdering his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, at her condo in Brentwood, California. Instead of surrendering as instructed, the former football star, accompanied by a friend, infamously led police on a slow-speed chase through Los Angeles. He was eventually arrested at his estate in Brentwood.
The subsequent legal proceedings were dubbed the “trial of the century.” After an 11-month trial, Simpson was acquitted of murder. However, a later civil trial found him responsible for the deaths of Nicole and Ron.
