Dunne’s athletic career has been a struggle recently. She needed to take a break from her gymnastics work because of a debilitating toothache. Fortunately, she has recovered and is back to work on the parallel bars. She currently competes with the Tigers on the LSU team in the NCAA. She became a national figure in gymnastics during her debut in 2014, where she finished twenty-eighth place. In the United States classic, she placed thirty-third.

In the 2021-2022 season, Dunne competed in the opening match against Centenary. She scored 9.925 on the uneven bars, which was the second-highest score behind teammate Alyona Shchennikova.

During her college debut, she scored 9.8 on floor exercises.
