Over the years, we have likely become familiar with many individuals associated with the entertainment industry. This includes some who may have been on television and in our homes for years, but we don’t really know everything that goes on in their lives.
Ellen DeGeneres is somebody who certainly had an impact on many during the time that she had her talk show. It is now over after 19 seasons, and we may feel as if we know her personally after seeing her so much on television.
Something that we may not know about Ellen is the fact that she struggled with excruciating back pain after she contracted COVID-19. She got COVID during the worst part of the pandemic, and the pain that she experienced was not something that is often discussed or anything that she expected.
Unfortunately, Ellen is no longer taking part in her talk show. It was closed after some allegations surfaced that spoke about the dynamics taking place behind the scenes.
When she was diagnosed with COVID, she went on social media to give an update and one of the symptoms she had was a sore back. She said that she was following proper precautions, and this was in 2020, which was at the height of the pandemic.
About a week later, she said that she was 100% and went on to discuss some of the issues she had that are not typically discussed. This included the severe back pain she had, which she described as being extreme.
Interestingly, back pain was not included by the CDC as one of the common COVID-19 symptoms. They did list muscle or body aches, but not back pain. Other symptoms included shortness of breath, coughing, chills, headaches, a loss of taste or smell, congestion, runny nose, sore throat, and others.
We’re glad that she is feeling better and now perhaps we know something that we didn’t know about COVID.
