Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, MAGA firebrand and one of President Donald Trump’s most loyal allies in the House, has just dropped a bombshell about her political future. Greene is reportedly weighing a 2026 Senate bid, according to two sources, exploring the possibility of jumping into the race if Gov. Brian Kemp, who is term-limited, opts out. While Kemp would likely clear the field if he runs, one anonymous source told the Daily Caller that Greene believes she would “crush” the GOP primary in his absence.
A Greene candidacy for Sen. Jon Ossoff’s seat would thrust the conservative congresswoman into one of 2026’s most-watched contests. Republicans are determined to unseat Ossoff, whose narrow January 2021 runoff win over former GOP Sen. David Perdue helped cost Republicans their Senate majority. Ossoff is the lone Democratic senator up for reelection in a state Trump carried last November.
