Kate Middleton and Her Children Reportedly Upset Over Prince William’s Recent Decision

Before Kate Middleton opened up about her health condition and disclosed her cancer diagnosis to the world, both she and the Palace were surrounded by rumors and numerous conspiracy theories, some more bizarre than others.

The Princess of Wales chose to remain silent until she felt it was the right time to address the public and the media. Some believe she timed the release of the video announcing her diagnosis to coincide with her children’s school closure, ensuring they wouldn’t face immediate comments and questions from their peers.

Kate wanted to protect her children and her husband, Prince William.

In an interview with GB News, author Alexander Larman argued that the conspiracies surrounding Kate Middleton highlighted the world’s obsession with the health of the royal family, seeing them as role models.

Larman noted, “The trolls have continued to this day. But one interesting thing is the difference in responses. Buckingham Palace quickly provided a candid update on Charles’s illness, while Kensington Palace did not.”

He added, “I think that’s because Prince William follows the ‘never complain, never explain’ motto of his great-grandfather, which has historically served the Royal Family well. But in 2024, you have to acknowledge that information will inevitably become public.”

Since Kate shared her diagnosis, she and her family have spent significant time at Anmer Hall at Sandringham, including during the three-week school break for their children.

On April 23, Prince Louis celebrated his sixth birthday, and his parents shared an adorable photo to mark the occasion.

Despite speculation that Kate might not take Louis’s photo this year, she maintained the tradition. The birthday message read, “Happy 6th Birthday, Prince Louis! Thank you for all the kind wishes today.”

Following Kate’s disclosure, her family has remained largely silent. Aside from Queen Camilla’s brief mention of the princess, there have been no further updates. However, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams suggests that William’s recent comments about his wife might carry a hidden message.

During an April 18 public engagement at the food distribution charity Surplus to Supper, a volunteer handed Prince William two get-well-soon cards for his father and his wife. Visibly moved, William said, “Thank you, you are very kind.”

Fitzwilliams believes this appearance was a signal that things were returning to normal.

Prince William’s participation in the food distribution charity implies that he and Kate are resuming their royal duties. Fitzwilliams told The Sun, “We know William is returning to royal duties shortly. This was an important appearance, signaling a return to normality.”

He added, “On the other hand, we know things are not entirely normal. William and Kate are involved in numerous patronages, and their presence has significant public support.”

According to Hello!, Kensington Palace confirmed that William is set for two public engagements, involving an overnight stay away from Windsor, indicating a positive shift for the royal family.

After taking a break to support his wife, Prince William has resumed his public duties. The Times reports he plans to increase his public appearances over the next two months, ahead of his children’s summer break.

Despite his dedication to royal duties, William’s absence sometimes upsets his family. During a recent visit to the Isles of Scilly, William remarked that his wife and children were unhappy he was there without them, saying, “My family are very upset I’m here without them. The children will kill me if I don’t go home later.”

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond suggested that William’s brief absence indicates that things are improving. She told OK!, “Catherine’s parents are likely staying with her, but even so, it must be a step in the right direction. Hopefully, Catherine is feeling stronger every day and can enjoy the outdoors, which has always been restorative for her.”
