The assassination of Charlie Kirk, the outspoken conservative organizer and founder of Turning Point USA, has shocked the nation. New information now reveals that the accused shooter, Tyler Robinson, was living with a transgender partner who has since become a key witness in the investigation.

Roommate Connection Exposed

According to The New York Post, public records show that Robinson shared an $1,800-a-month apartment in St. George, Utah, with Lance Twiggs, a 22-year-old individual transitioning from male to female. A family member described Twiggs as the “black sheep” of the family and confirmed that federal agents questioned them shortly after the assassination.

While the family member declined to confirm whether Twiggs and Robinson were romantically involved, they admitted they would not be surprised if Twiggs was undergoing gender transition. The Post reported that no one has been seen at the apartment since the murder, leaving neighbors unsettled. One resident recalled seeing “cars with out-of-state plates” and “sketchy visitors” frequenting the apartment just weeks before the shooting.

Transgender Partner Cooperating With FBI

Law enforcement sources confirm that Twiggs is fully cooperating with the FBI and has provided investigators with crucial text messages and Discord logs exchanged with Robinson. These digital conversations reveal chilling details — including Robinson discussing the need to “retrieve a rifle from a drop point,” changing outfits after the crime, and even referencing customized bullet casings.

Those same casings, later recovered at the scene near Utah Valley University, were engraved with disturbing messages: “Hey fascist! Catch!” and a mocking reference to the Italian protest song Bella Ciao. Authorities found an imported .30-06 Mauser bolt-action rifle wrapped in a towel in the nearby woods. Ballistics matched the weapon to the fatal shot that struck Kirk in the neck.

The Final Moments

The murder occurred only moments after Kirk had been asked a pointed question about transgender mass shooters. During a Q&A session, attendee Hunter Kozak asked: “Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?” Kirk, known for his sharp but respectful answers, replied: “Too many.” Seconds later, the fatal gunshot was fired from 200 yards away.

Kirk, 31, was a devout evangelical Christian who consistently opposed same-sex marriage, transgender surgeries, and what he called the “LGBTQ agenda.” Supporters recall that while he never wavered in his stance, he often delivered his message with compassion, acknowledging the struggles of individuals while firmly defending his beliefs.

From Mormon Roots to Radical Leftist

Investigators say Robinson grew up in a conservative Mormon household but became increasingly radicalized in recent years. Governor Spencer Cox told the Wall Street Journal that it was “very clear” Robinson had been deeply indoctrinated with far-left ideology. He was not registered with any political party, but those close to him said his online activity showed growing hostility toward conservatives, especially outspoken figures like Kirk.

Digital traces uncovered by the FBI suggest Robinson had been active in extremist Discord groups. These channels reportedly encouraged him to retrieve weapons and prepare for violent action. Federal prosecutors have now charged him with aggravated murder, Utah’s only capital crime, which carries the possibility of the death penalty.

A Key Witness in a National Tragedy

Federal officials confirmed that the cooperation of Robinson’s transgender partner was critical in building the case. Messages, outfit changes, and evidence about the rifle’s location all came from Twiggs’ cooperation. This makes the roommate a central witness in the ongoing prosecution.

For many, this revelation adds another tragic layer to the already polarizing story — a conservative activist slain just moments after addressing a question about transgender violence, by a suspect living with a transgender partner now helping investigators bring him to justice.

Ongoing Questions

The assassination has reignited fierce debates across America. Was Robinson’s act driven purely by political ideology? Were outside influences at play, given reports of out-of-state visitors frequenting the apartment in the weeks leading up to the murder? And will investigators uncover additional connections between Robinson’s radicalization and online extremist networks?

For now, what is known is chilling enough: a radicalized young man, a fatal gunshot that silenced one of America’s loudest conservative voices, and a transgender roommate whose testimony may decide the killer’s fate in court.

The nation continues to mourn Charlie Kirk, and the investigation into his shocking assassination is far from over.
